Research Services Personnel

W. Gregory Queen, D.V.M., ABVP, University Veterinarian
Diplomate, American Board of Veterinary Practitioners - Certified in Food Animal Practice.
Dr. Queen is responsible for the oversight of veterinary care programs for biomedical and agricultural animals used in research and teaching programs at Clemson University. He provides consultation and veterinary care services for research investigators and serves as veterinary representative for the Animal Research Committee.

John Parrish, DVM, Ph.D., ACLAM, Associate University Veterinarian
Diplomate, American College of Laboratory Animal Medicine.
Dr. Parrish assists the University Veterinarian in oversight of veterinary care programs for biomedical and agricultural animals used in research and teaching programs at Clemson University. He provides consultation and veterinary care services for research investigators and serves as veterinary representative for the Animal Research Committee.

Melody Clarke Willey, BS, LATG, Director of Operations
Ms. Willey manages the operations of the Godley-Snell Research Center and staff. She can be contacted for assistance in planning and scheduling animal research activities. Ms. Willey may also be contacted to schedule animal handling and procedure training for research staff and students.

Theresa Smith, CPS, Office Manager
Ms. Theresa Smith is responsible for managing office procedures such as personnel, payroll, and accounting. Ms. Smith should be contacted regarding any questions regarding investigator billing.

Teresa Smith, AA, LAT, Animal Care Supervisor, Technical Services
Ms. Teresa Smith supervises the technical procedures, husbandry operations, and waste management for the Godley-Snell Research Center.

Diane Bailey, CVT, Animal Care Supervisor – Surgical Services
Ms. Bailey supervises the surgical facilities and conventional rodent facilities for the Godley-Snell Research Center.

Travis Pruitt, BS, Animal Care Technician
Mr. Pruitt provides animal care and husbandry and technical support for the laboratory animal research program.

Heather Martin, BS, Agricultural/Animal Associate II
Ms. Martin assists the University Veterinarian in providing animal care and veterinary support for the agricultural animal research programs.
