Electronic Research Administration Recently a number of non-profit agencies have started to utilize electronic proposal submission procedures. Principal Investigators are not authorized to submit proposals without receiving prior approval from all campus authorizing officials including, but not limited to the Chair, Dean, Director, Office of Sponsored Programs, and the Vice President for Research. This requirement is necessary to insure that all research and other extramurally funded projects conducted by University employees comply with relevant University policies including, but not limited to the following:
Until systematic electronic proposal processes are
implemented, one hard copy of the proposal must be routed through normal
review processes to the Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP). In order that
any problem or question might be appropriately addressed, OSP should be
provided the hard copy application material in ample time prior to the
mail date needed to meet the sponsor’s deadline. Once the proposal
has been authorized by OSP for submission to the sponsor, the department
contact or PI will receive notification by OSP that the proposal is ready
for pick-up. Electronic Proposal Submission Portals
