Create or Edit an InfoEd PROFILE

Creating and Editing Your Profile:

Your Profile information will be used in three areas to:

  • match and receive e-mails of new funding opportunities from SPIN on a daily basis;
  • prepare and print your custom-formatted vitae; and
  • auto-fill appropriate fields in InfoEd’s Proposal Development, when available.

Important tips to remember when using InfoEd Profile:

  • Your Username and Password are case sensitive. To have these e-mailed to you, go to http://www.clemson.edu/osp and type in your Novell username and password. If you do not have an InfoEd Username, e-mail crisb@clemson.edu or call 864-656-0342 for set-up.
  • Use MicroSoft Internet Explorer (IE) v6 or higher.
  • Always choose “Save” from the InfoEd module, not from the IE browser, before proceeding to next screen.
  • Clemson University’s Office of Sponsored Programs (CU-OSP) currently supports only the features of InfoEd’s Profile module as listed in these instructions. Instructions for setting up and printing your vitae are included in a separate Quick Reference Sheet.
  • Always select the “Log Out” button to log out.

Getting Started

  1. From MicroSoft Internet Explorer version 6, enter http://infoed.clemson.edu.
  2. Select “Login” on the left sidebar.
  3. Enter your InfoEd Username and Password.
  4. Hit the “Enter” key on your keyboard or select the “Login” button.
  5. Select “Profile” in the blue sidebar.

Customize Your Vitae

Enter your personal profile information in appropriate fields of each of the following categories: General, Advisees, Certifications, Collaborators, Courses Taught, Creative Activities, Education, Employment, Honors & Awards, Languages, Memberships, Optional, Professional Associations and Societies, Professional Licenses and Certifications, Publications, Resources, Research Interests (copy and paste Abstracts from funded projects here if you want them made available to potential collaborators), Reviewed Works, and Sponsored Funding. NOTE: Entering correct information in the General and Other Information screens is important to receiving accurate SMARTS e-mail alerts and to filling in some forms in Proposal Development.
  2. Select “Add New” to add information to a category.
  3. Select “Save” in upper left corner of each screen prior to selecting next category.
