If you have a technology that may be protected by a patent or computer software copyright, and are either employed by Clemson University or enrolled as a student, we encourage you to call Vincie Albritton or Janet Dillon at (864) 656-4237 for information on the patent and/or copyright process. We encourage you to review the operation of the Office of Technology Transfer, the CU Patent Policy or CU Computer Software Policy (depending on which may be applicable to your technology), the Patent Disclosure and/or Software Copyright Disclosure forms.

If you are ready to initiate discussions with a company(ies) relative to your technology, you will need to have the company(ies) complete a Confidential Disclosure form prior to sharing any confidential information.

This form is required for many of our technologies for which patents have been applied for or for which the patent process has not been initiated. This form must be completed prior to sharing confidential information. We welcome and encourage visits to Clemson University to discuss technologies of interest. We will be pleased to arrange discussions with the inventor(s)/author(s) of any of our listed technologies. We will also be pleased to place you in contact with the appropriate faculty and/or academic administrator to initiate discussions relative to potential research areas of mutual benefit.
