 Stephanie Howard was born in Greenville, South Carolina. Stephanie draws on southern folklore, southern culture, history, and family for her artwork. Her home state of South Carolina provides her with countless stories and personalities that she incorporates in her work. Stephanie feels that the South is a precious, limitless spring of artistic inspiration. South Carolina in particular is sacred ground, where Appalachia meets the Deep South.
