	ART IN THE GARDEN

	*Fran Hanson Discovery Center Gallery*
	The Featured Artist Gallery at the Discovery Center highlights South Carolina artists on a rotating basis. The $2 suggested donation helps support the gallery and related special events to promote the artists. Unique items by the artists are available in the Garden Gift Shop. The permanent collection is by South Carolina artist and long time SCBG friend, Elizabeth Belser Fuller. Her work spans from 1947- 1989 and includes scenes from the lowcountry, rural life along with flowers and nature - many of which were painted in the SC Botanical Garden. Notecards and prints by the artist are available in the Garden Gift Shop located in the Discovery Center. ELIZABETH BELSER FULLER GALLERY

Come see this marvelous permanent collection of artwork by South Carolina native and special friend of the SCBG,
Mrs. Elizabeth Belser Fuller.
Her artwork, using a variety of media, features paintings from the island of Dominica (picutred left) originally on display as part of the Wren House Southern Living Showcase Home project in 1998. Additional artwork includes her watercolor images taken from the Garden and some other favorite spots
in South Carolina.

Garden Escape, a quilt by Marilyn Wall & Diana Pickens, was commissioned by Mrs. Fuller in August 2005, is the newest addition to the collection.
