Gardens & Habitats
The South Carolina Botanical Garden’s 295 acres includes roughly 70 acres of demonstration and display gardens, a 40 acre-arboretum, 90+ acres of woodlands and streams, along with managed meadows, turf, and shrubs. Our ponds provide habitat to fish as well as native amphibians, reptiles, birds, and insects. The diversity of habitats (forests, meadows, ponds, and gardens) supports a variety of birds, insects, and wildlife, which add enjoyment to Garden visits throughout the year.
