The 70-acre Roland Schoenike Arboretum offers a diverse collection of trees and shrubs.

Butterfly Garden

The Lake & Hills Butterfly Garden provides an environment supportive of the butterfly's life cycle and through interpretive signage provides an educational experience.

The Jack Miller Dwarf Conifer Garden is a collection of conifers suited for the southeast region in a landscape setting.

Ethnobotany Garden

The Ethnobotany Garden is part of the Children's Garden and provides a collection of medicinal herbs and plants that are attractive additions to any landscape.

Flower Display Garden

The Flower Display Garden is filled with perennial beds that offer color most all year. This colorful array of plants offers visitors ideas for plant and color combinations.

Foothills Perennial Garden

The Foothills Perennial Garden was designed and is maintained by dedicated members of the Foothills Garden Club. The garden

Heirloom Vegetable Garden

The Heirloom Vegetable Garden, located adjacent to the Hanover House, is 4 acres filled with a bountiful display of heirloom vegetables. Tall corn, okra, cotton and more are growing from seeds handed down for generations. These seeds are available at the Garden Gift Shop.

Hosta Garden

The Charles and Betty Cruickshank Hosta Garden has been recognized by the American Hosta Society and won awards for its extensive collection of hosta plants. The perennial companion plants help highlight this lush shade garden along with the flowing waterfall.

Nature Trail

The Gwen Heusel Nature Trail is a peaceful trail along the southern border of the garden under a shady overgrowth of hardwoods. The trail allows visitors to learn and experience a natural setting of native plants.

Pollinator Border

The Pollinator Border is a learning garden located outside the Hanson Nature Learning Center. Its colorful combinations are a terrific example of plants to attract pollinating butterflies and birds to make your garden flourish.

The Van Blaricom Xeriscape Garden demonstrates a colorful landscape that emphasizes water conservation through careful plant selection and the use of various mulches.
