Camellia TrailThis collection is where the SC Botanical Garden began and is now one of the largest collections of camellia in the region. Situated next to the duck pond, it is said that the terracing these plants are bedded on were part of John C. Calhoun's original plantation where he experimented with growing cotton and indigo. Many species were developed by Clemson University horticulture professors and named for past presidents and other notable Clemson residents. Read more... |

Heusel Nature TrailThe Gwen Heusel Nature Trail is located in the arboretum and provides a look at native plants in a woodland setting. It takes you past one of the nature-based sculptures "Space In Between" as well. A great place to walk and escape into nature. |
