Garden Venues for Rentals

Whether you're planning a business meeting or a party for 300, there is a perfect garden venue waiting for you to complete your event plans. Outdoor Venues

Fran Hanson Discovery Center

This former Southern Living Showcase Home (1998, Wren House) is a perfect backdrop to any garden party setting. The elegant terrace makes a great spot to mingle or dance floor.

The inside of the Center may be rented for dinner receptions for sit down dinners of 50 people; or in conjunction with an outside lawn for an indoor-outdoor party.

Discovery Center Lawns

The upper lawn located off the terrace is a great place for ceremonies or can accommodate both ceremonies and receptions for smaller groups. The elegant manacured lawns and flower beds are filled with color from mid-April through early November.

Lower Discovery Center Lawn & Carriage House

The lower lawn pictured with the Carriage House is the background, is large enough to accommodate a 40'x60' tent to house the largest receptions. The patio to the left of the Carriage House makes a great dancefloor or beverage station.

Xeriscape Garden

This garden provides an intimate setting for a small wedding surrounded by trees and perennial flower beds. It is best for groups of 75 or less for ceremonies with the heart of the garden within walking distance.

Garden Amphitheater

Whether you're planning a lecture as pictured, a concert or a ceremony the amphitheater can accommodate up to 400 guests. It is surrounded by trees and is located just below the Cadet Life Garden in the Heritage Gardens.

Hosta Garden

This beautiful natural setting is perfect for an impromptu ceremony. Friends gather with the sound of the waterfall below the bridge.

Indoor Venues

Hayden Conference Center

The Agnew Conference Room (photo right) accommodates 25 for business meetings around the conference table or add more tables to accommodate additional folks for a luncheon.

The Lecture Room accommodates up to 50 people comfortably and can be set up to accommodate a variety of meeting settings.

A full service kitchen is also included.

Carriage House

The newly remodeled Carriage House offers a nice meeting space for groups of 20 or less. Great for luncheons, meetings or classes. The patio allows groups to exted the party outside too. Kitchen includes microwave and refridgerator.
