Discovering IPM - Grade 4: An IPM Curriculum for 4th Graders NOTE: The following curriculum is currently being tested (2005-2006 school year) and modifications are expected following feedback from the cooperating teachers.

This IPM curriculum was adapted from Discovering IPM: An Inquiry Approach to Learning Integrated Pest Management (see link below), to meet the needs of 4th grade students. It includes the step-by-step approach to teaching science utilizing "real life" situations, but incorporates additional science activities for reinforcement. Learning extensions in math, language arts, and social studies have also been added so that the curriculum can be used cooperatively across disciplines, thereby more accurately reflecting learning in the real world.

Discovering IPM - Grade 5: An IPM Curriculum for 5th Graders NOTE: The following curriculum is currently being tested (2005-2006 school year) and modifications are expected following feedback from the cooperating teachers.

As with the IPM curriculum above, this curriculum was adapted from Discovering IPM: An Inquiry Approach to Learning Integrated Pest Management (see link below). However, this curriculum was designed to meet the needs of 5th grade students, including those who might have participated in the 4th grade IPM curriculum the previous year. While the 4th grade curriculum was built around IPM in the home, this curriculum focuses on IPM in school. It includes the step-by-step approach to teaching science utilizing "real life" situations and incorporates additional science activities for reinforcement. As with the 4th grade curriculum, it was designed to be utilized cooperatively across disciplines with related learning extensions in math, language arts, and social studies provided.

Discovering IPM: An Inquiry Approach to Learning Integrated Pest Management This curriculum, designed for grades 2 - 7, provides a step-by-step approach to teaching science utilizing "everyday" situations. Each lesson includes a listing of applicable South Carolina science standards.

Exploring the IPM House Clemson University IPM Program's discovery-based curriculum is designed to introduce children (ages 9 to 13) to basic concepts of residential integrated pest management.
