Harry Potter Extravaganza exhibit of fascinating minerals
Volcanoes: slide show, pressure demo, build a volcano
Maps & Compass Fun: map instruction, orienteering course
Fossil Fun: Dinos to Daisies
Junior Naturalist Program – collaboration with Sue Watts (SCBG Education Program Coordinator) – after-school series – weekly/4-5 weeks; twice yearly. Hands-on learning about soil, trees, habitats, creeks, wildlife, maps, include outdoor adventures
Nature Hikes – 3 hikes focusing on geology along Hunnicutt Creek
BCGM Annual Programs:
Identification Day – museum visitors bring fossil and minerals
Museum Day – mineral sieving, expanded hours, international celebration
Earth Science Day – The Journey of Water game, geology hike, presentations by Jody Tinsley and Dr. Larry Murdoch of CU Geology Department
