    Elective Credit for Biology Students
In the past we have given substitutions to allow Biology majors to use BIOL 2220 for other major credit and BIOL 2230 for Functional Biology or Physiology credit. The faculty have decided to discontinue this substitution. We will still honor the substitution for students who have completed both BIOL 2220 and BIOL 2230 by the end of Spring 2015. The classes must have been completed at Clemson. After spring 2015, Anatomy & Physiology I and II will count for elective credit only for Biological Science students.
    Prerequisite Information
Contact instructor of record by email if you don’t meet the prerequisite, requesting entrance and taking full responsibility of material without preq. Preq overrides will not be given without the instructor of record’s consent. Two examples follow for students to email instructor for approval:
"I do recognize that I do not have the prerequisite classes for Biol 2220 and understand that I am putting myself at a disadvantage when taking this course. I understand that I may need to work harder for my grade and take full responsibility for doing so."
Or, "I am aware that taking the courses out of sequence could put me at a significant disadvantages AND that I accept responsibility for identifying areas of weakness and working to overcome them."
