Workshop Purpose
In the aftermath following the 9-11 attack on America, the world environment has completely changed. Security, tension and terrorism are the words that describe this time of uncertainty. Governments and industry have heightened their security initiatives its time for universities to share their concern.
Workshop Focus
Clemson University, through the South Carolina Institute for Energy Studies, hosted the National University Security Workshop held July 28-29, 2003, at the Conference Center & Inn at Clemson University. The workshop offered the opportunity for senior academic executives, research officers, security officers, facility managers and faculty involved in security to gather and share concerns particular to universities.
University Participation
Along with 22 representatives from universities and colleges from South Carolina, other states such as North Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Illinois, New Jersey, Ohio, Rhode Island, Kentucky, Wisconsin, Tennessee, Utah, Michigan, and California were represented as well.
