University of New Orleans - Energy Conversion and Conservation Center

The mission of the ECCC is to promote clean energy research and education, to enhance regional economic growth, and to develop national and international energy programs that are environmentally friendly and sustainable with improved conservation and energy efficiency. ECCC laboratories consist of three primary groups:

•  Aerothermal Laboratory

•  Energy Conversion Laboratory

•  Energy Conservation Laborator

ECCC labs are capable of providing measurements and tests in thermal-fluid and power systems including air/steam pressure, flow rates, temperatures, two-phase flow characteristics, flow structures, energy component efficiency, combustion, emissions, HVAC, Particle image velocimetry (PIV), 3-D inverse liquid crystal thermography, wind tunnel testing, and infrared thermal imaging.
