UTSR Peer Review Workshop I
The UTSR Peer Review Workshop was held October 28-30, 2003, at the Madren Conference Center and Inn at Clemson University, Clemson, SC. The Workshop was hosted by the South Carolina Institute for Energy Studies (SCIES) in conjunction with the DOE (Fossil Energy) National Energy Technology Laboratory (NETL).
The Workshop agenda included presentations and posters by universities on UTSR research projects in the areas of combustion, aero-heat transfer, and materials. Since the workshop followed a peer review format, participation was limited to UTSR Performing Member Universities, IRB Member employees, and Government employees. Eighty-one attendees participated in the three day workshop.
Participants were asked to provide peer review input for each university research presentation. The workshop was also structured for participants to give input for UTSR program improvement.
A poster session was held on October 29 to showcase new UTSR Projects and UTSR Gas Turbine Industrial Fellows who completed internships in the summer of 2003 at participating industrial gas turbine related sponsors.
