Since its inception, the UTSR program has involved more than 600 individuals, a majority of which were university personnel. Universities also relied heavily on collaborations from industry. Some individuals have suggested that the training of competent professional staff in the university environment is the most important facet of UTSR as these individuals are the future of the gas turbine industry.
