Economics and Marketing Plan Research

Research professionals from the Department of Agricultural and Applied Economics are working together on a 2-prong approach of Marketing and Economics. Research is underway to develop a long-term marketing plan and program for wild-harvested shrimp focusing on domestic product marketing and promotion. Economic researchers have interviewed industry members, prepared operational budgets, and explored potentials for shrimp processing facilities in South Carolina.
