Recreation, Travel and Tourism

The Recreation, Travel and Tourism Department received 877 surveys that were used to observe the amount of knowledge that tourists have about shrimp and the shrimping industry. The data they received allowed them to divide tourists into three separate groups based on their knowledge and preferences. These researchers worked closely with the professionals with the Food Science Department that conducted the taste tests. The information that was gatehred by these two departments can be used to determine what groups to target for marketing, and what sensory attributes to exploit in those efforts.
