Research: Grant Competition
Submission Criteria:
To compete for research funding, please provide four copies of your proposal to Spiro Institute Director, Caron St. John. Proposals should be a maximum of six double-spaced pages and should include the following:
- Cover page including title and authors' names (author names on this page only)
- Research purpose and statement of relevance (the "so what?" question)
- Key literature used to justify research questions
- Data to be collected and data collection methods, if appropriate
- Planned data analysis techniques, if appropriate
- Planned publication outlet
- Budget and time table
Review criteria:
- Overall quality of the proposed work and its potential contribution to the field
- Appropriateness of the funding request, given the proposed research purpose and methods. Upon acceptance, funds are deposited to the investigator's research account. Upon completion, the final paper is listed as a working paper of the Spiro Institute, and made available for review by interested constituents. Identification as a working paper will not preclude publication elsewhere.
