Jill D. McLeigh
Research Associate
Jill D. McLeigh (BA, North Carolina; MS Carnegie-Mellon) is a research associate who serves as a member of the research team for the Strong Communities initiative, coordinates the development of Family Activity Centers, and provides program development and evaluation assistance for Building Dreams, a mentoring program for children whose parents are incarcerated.
Prior to working at the Institute, Ms. McLeigh worked with the Urban Redevelopment Authority in Pittsburgh, PA on local economic and business development as part of her U.S. Housing and Urban Development Fellowship. Additionally, she facilitated cross-community and youth development work in Northern Ireland, where she worked at a church and community center bridging the gap between Protestants and Catholics. Her interests are in urban and cluster development, the faith community’s role in community development, mentoring, and child care law.
Ms. McLeigh is currently
enrolled in a Ph.D. program at Clemson.
