Shelli C. Charles
Research Associate
Shelli C. Charles (BS, MPH, South Carolina) is a research associate who serves as program manager. Ms. Charles coordinates the various seminars, study groups, conferences and special events that the Institute hosts.
She has extensive experience working within state government, and served as a legislative assistant to the majority leader of the South Carolina Senate, the Senate Standing Committee on Transportation, and SC Senate Study Committees on Aging, Worker’s Compensation and Public Transportation. Before coming to Clemson University, she was a program manager at the Institute for Families in Society at the University of South Carolina.
Ms. Charles, who holds a Certificate in Gerontology from the University of South Carolina, is particularly interested in intergenerational and health care issues in family and community life.
