Making Communities Safe for Children: A Groundbreaking Effort. Dr. Gary Melton, director of the Institute on Family and Neighborhood Life, hosts an expanded edition featuring moments from the Strong Communities kickoff event held March 25 at the Golden Strip Family and Child Development Center. The event featured former Secretary of Education Richard Riley, Superintendent of Greenville School District William Harner, Duke Foundation Trustee Minor Shaw and Clemson University President James Barker.
