Default/Forfeit Policy
A No show is declared by an intramural supervisor when it is time for an intramural sport or activity to begin and a team has had no one check in to play.
A Forfeit is declared by an intramural supervisor when it is time for an intramural sport or activity to begin and a team has had AT LEAST one person check in to play, but does not meet the minimum requirement to have enough people to play.
Once a no show/forfeit has been declared the game will not begin and the opposing team will be declared the winner. A team winning by a no show/forfeit will receive a sportsmanship of three (3). A team losing by forfeit will receive a sportsmanship of one (1) and a team losing by no show will receive a sportsmanship of zero (0). Once a game has ended in a no show/forfeit the supervisor will then circle on the score sheet the corresponding result.
*One (1) no show will result in the team being ineligible to advance to the playoffs.*
*Any combination of Two (2) forfeits or no shows will result in the team being DROPPED from play.*
*Contests that are completed prior to a team being DROPPED from the league for no shows/forfeits shall be re-recorded as “wins” for the opposing team. Contests not yet played will also be recorded as "wins" for the opposing team. All scores will be defaulted to 1-0.
*Officials/Supervisors reserve the right, and retain the authority to deem a contest a no show or forfeit due to the late arrival of participants or due to unsportsmanlike and/or unsafe conduct.
