Leagues & Divisions Offered
Clemson University Intramural Sports offers Men’s, Women’s, and CoRec Leagues in the following team and individual sports: Flag Football, 5 v 5 Basketball, 3 v 3 Basketball, Softball, Outdoor Soccer, Indoor Soccer, Ultimate Frisbee, Indoor Volleyball, Sand Volleyball, Badminton, Racquetball, Tennis, Quickball, Kickball, Dodgeball, Bowling, Billiards, and Darts.
Participants are permitted to play on only one (1) team per league in which they are eligible. For example, a male can play on one (1) Men’s team and one (1) CoRec team but cannot play on two (2) Men’s teams.
League Descriptions
Men’s League: Reserved for men. Women can play on a men's team, but forfeits eligibility to play on a women's team.
Women’s League: Reserved for women only.
Co-Rec League: Teams are comprised of a combination of men & women. During play, CoRec teams must have an equal or more number of females on the field/court than males.
Note 1 : Within the Men’s League the following divisions are offered for all sports: Advanced Men, Advanced Greek, Novice Men, Novice Greek.
Note 2 : There are no divisional breakdowns for the Women’s League in any sport.
Note 3 : Within the CoRec Leagues the following divisions are offered in Flag Football, 5-v-5 Basketball, Soccer and Softball: Advanced CoRec, Novice CoRec. For all other sports, no divisional breakdown for CoRec is offered.
Division Descriptions
Advanced: This is a highly competitive league designed specifically for those who have previous experience playing the sport competitively (i.e. high school and collegiate athletes). In some cases different equipment may be used in advanced divisions to pose more of a challenge to teams. Teams participating in this division may advance to playoffs.
NOTE: Varsity, Junior Varsity, and Walk-On athletes must participate in this league for their associated sport.
Novice: This league is less competitive than advanced, designed for those who understand the game but do not have the experience and skill of an advanced player. Teams may advance to playoffs; however, preference will be given to advanced teams in event of a tie.
NOTE: Varsity, Junior Varsity, and Walk-On athletes may NOT play in this league for their associated sport.
Advanced Greek:
Designed solely for fraternity affiliated teams who wish to compete at a highly competitive level. Team must be comprised of fraternity members only.
Novice Greek:
Designed solely for fraternity affiliated teams who wish to compete in a slightly less competitive environment. Team must be comprised of fraternity members only.
NOTE: Club players of associated sports may participate in any league offered.
