Playoff Determinants

Clemson University Intramural Sports follows the following guidelines and determinants when advancing intramural teams to playoff competition.

Minimum Requirements

Participating teams must fulfill the following minimum requirements to advance to the playoff competition:

Completion of the regular season without a no show or any combination of two (2) forfeits/no shows which results in the team being dropped from play.

Adherence to all intramural guidelines set forth.

Retains a sportsmanship point rating of (3) or more.

Advancement

EXCEPTION FLAG FOOTBALL (SEE BELOW) All teams standing in first, second or third place in their divisions after regular season play will advance to the playoffs. Then, the overall 4th place team in each league will advance as a Wildcard. If multiple 4th place teams' records are tied after regular season play, league play, sportsmanship and points differential will be taken into consideration.

FLAG FOOTBALL- Top 4 in each division with overall 5th place team advancing.

Seeding will be determined as follows:

(1) - Undefeated Advanced, (2) - 1-loss Advanced, (3) Undefeated Novice, (4)- 1-loss Novice, (5) - 2-loss Advanced, etc.
