Columbia, SC, November 4-6, Department of Juvenile Justice

Nine students and two staff members went to the Department of Juvenile Justice to help build a visitation garden and gazebo for at-risk youth "behind the fence." The group worked hand-in-hand with 12-17 year old emerging leaders in the SC Juvenile Justice system. They also experienced a weekend in the life of an incarcerated youth, by sleeping in the DJJ dorms.
