ABP is currently accepting applications for student leader positions for the 2008-2009 school year.
Without student leaders, the Alternative Break Program could not exist. Read the different student leader descriptions below to determine whether you are interested. In addition to the position descriptions, student leaders are required to attend weekly or biweekly meetings, and actively participate in ABP recruitment and fundraising.

President
The President is the student who oversees the entire Alternative Break Program (ABP). He or she assists all of the VP's with the resources necessary for them to have a successful trip. The President will also ensure ABP's sustainability for the following year and keep the VP's on task.

Vice President
The VP is a student who executes and plans one of the specific Alternative Break trips. He or she is responsible for recruitment and training of Site Leaders and to assist leaders with the resources necessary for them to do their jobs.

Treasurer
The Treasurer is responsible for tracking all account transactions, donations, fundraising results, and total trip balances. He or she will work with the other Leadership Positions to create an accurate budget for each trip and keep the members updated. The Treasurer will also be responsible for organizing fundraisers.

Secretary
The Secretary is responsible for tracking fundraising events, meeting minutes, and member participation. He or she will also lead the efforts in marketing all events. The Secretary will also be responsible for coordinating the end of the year DVD production.

Site Leaders
The Site Leaders will plan the fall or spring service trips. SL's will choose sites, find service projects, housing, and transportation. The SL's will also plan group activities and reflections before, after, and during the trips.
