Tiger Service Project

Start your Clemson experience off right with a morning of service to the community!
TUESDAY, AUGUST 19, 9 am - noon
The Tiger Service Project introduces new Clemson students to local service opportunities. Participants will make new friends, see more of the Clemson community, get free t-shirts, and be a part of a Clemson University tradition.
Participants will meet on the second floor of the Hendrix Student Center at 9 am and receive their event t-shirts, select a service project, and meet their upperclass student leaders. Transportation will be provided for groups volunteering at off-campus locations. Everyone will be back in time for lunch and the Summer Reading Program or Mission: Transition.

Clemson Community Care
Clemson Community Care is a local food bank which also provides financial assistance to help local needy families meet their basic needs. Volunteers assisted with landscaping and cleaning to help the facility continue to be an inviting place to visit for people in need.
Clemson Free Clinic
The Clemson Free Clinic provides medical care and free pharmaceuticals to the underserved. Volunteers assisted with clerical tasks and light cleaning.
Bethesda Ministries
Volunteers made fleece baby blankets that were shipped to various locations locally and abroad to help the worlds most impoverished children stay warm during the winter.
Department of Juvenile Justice
Volunteers wrote cards and letters for girls living behind the fence in the Juvenile Justice system in Columbia. Many of these girls do not receive visitors or letters while in the system. Volunteers helped these girls know there is hope for life after they have served their time.
