The Support Services Division is responsible for the coordination of the specialized law enforcement functions such as training, staff planning and allocation for event security, accreditation, Uniform Crime Reporting, Clery Act compliance, personnel, financial management, records management and communications.

CRIMINAL INVESTIGATIVE DIVISION

Criminal Investigations Division (C.I.D.)receives all criminal reportsfiled with the CUPD that require follow-up or further investigation.  Within this divisionis the Student Patrol which serves the community through traffic and crowd control, building security, campus patrols, crime prevention and safety escorts.  Criminal Investigations is also responsible for providing dignitary protection and coordination.  C.I.D. also coordinates crime victim services.

UNIFORM PATROL DIVISION

Uniformed Patrol is the most visible function of the law enforcement agency, patrolling campus by vehicle, foot and bicycle.  Three patrol shifts are employed to ensure around-the-clock services.  This division includes parking enforcement to implement the regulations set by Parking Services.  Officers utilize princiles of community policing to identify problems on campus and develop solutions that will benefit the community as a whole.
