Online Housing Application Process

Please read this entire page BEFORE attempting to apply.

Reminders:

  1. You are required to live on campus for the fall and spring semesters unless you will be commuting from home (within a 50-mile radius of campus) living with your parents or guardians. (Written documentation is required.)

If a violation of the on-campus residency requirement is discovered before the semester begins, your enrollment may be jeopardized unless you complete the Housing application and are assigned on-campus housing. If a violation of the policy is discovered after the start of the semester, you will be referred to the Office of Community and Ethical Standards for failure to comply with a University policy.

  2. Your Housing priority will be established by the date you applied to the University for admission, not the date the Housing application was submitted.

  3. You may select another freshman as a roommate, but if you request a specific roommate, your housing priority is determined by the later of the two (yours or your roommate's) admission dates.

  4. The Housing application MUST be submitted by May 1 or you will lose your Housing priority.

Steps

Description

1.
Look up your USERID
This will require you to enter your last name and CUID number. Remember, your CUID number can be found in your Admissions Acceptance Packet. It is also printed on the PIN # letter sent to your parents/guardians from the Housing Office (freshmen and transfers).
2.
Login to the online Housing Application
Once you have your USERID, you will use it to login to the online Housing Application.

This official login will require you to enter your USERID (which you find in step one) along with the last four digits of your Social Security number (as your initial password).

NOTE: On your first login to the Clemson network, you will be required to immediately change your password. This is a necessary and important step in safeguarding all personal information. DO NOT GIVE YOUR NEW PASSWORD TO ANYONE ELSE!

About your new password: Your new password must be at least five characters and no longer than eight. The University recommends that your password be all numeric to allow you access to records (like your bill) through certain telephone access systems. For security purposes, longer is better; but no more than eight digits. Be sure to memorize it immediately. If you forget your new password, the Housing Office staff cannot assist you. Your only recourse with a forgotten password is to call the CCIT Help Desk at (864) 656-3494 and request that your “Netware Password” be re-set. You will then have to log back into the system and change your password again.
3.
Apply for campus housing
Once you have your USERID and have changed your password, you may apply for housing using the online application. Just follow the simple on-screen instructions to complete and submit your housing application.
