Future Parking Demand and the Feasibility of Constructing a Parking Structure
Clemson retained Walker Parking Consultants to perform an analysis of Clemson's parking demand for the next five years to assess adequacy of existing parking spaces. Walker was also requested to determine the feasibility of constructing and operating a parking facility on campus. The site analysis and recommendation was made in accordance with the campus master plan. Walker's report is available for downloading, both the executive summary or the complete report are available in "PDF" file format. This format requires Adobe Acrobat Reader. Note that the files are not small and may take a while to download unless you have a fast connection.

Parking Space Utilization
Another popular request involves the allocation of parking spaces and utilization of campus parking. At Clemson, this information is determined using a field survey instrument to document parking spaces in use while classes are in session. By counting parking spaces in use, a very accurate measurement of day-to-day parking utilization is provided for regions within the campus as well as for the entire campus. The parking utilization survey contains data regarding the number and zoning for campus parking spaces and also serves to indicate locations where a surplus of parking spaces exists.
