If you choose to call the police, they can help you to understand what will happen once you report to them. They will also be able to assist with getting medical attention. By calling the police you are not obligated to press charges. The police departments also have Victim’s Advocates available to assist you with understanding the legal process and help you to get necessary services.
Redfern Health Center

By calling Redfern Health Center during regular business hours (8:00am – 5:00pm) you will have access to CU CARES Relationship and Sexual Violence Services program and Counseling and Psychological Services. These services are available to meet your emotional and psychological needs. They will also provide appropriate referral services and serve as an advocate on your behalf. At Redfern, you will also have access to some medical attention. The providers will be able to assist you with making decisions regarding the most appropriate medical services. Services are free and confidential.

You may choose to receive services outside of those offered by Clemson University. There are two local rape crisis centers that can provide crisis interventions services related to sexual assault. These services are offered to you at no cost. Services are confidential. Both centers offer 24 hour crisis hotline response.

Safe Harbor is a local domestic violence shelter that can provide crisis intervention services and individual and group counseling services related to relationship and domestic violence.
