CAPS is committed to educating students about mental health issues so that they can make informed decisions about their lives and know when to seek additional help. We believe that sharing and discussing mental health topics with students enhances academic success, lifelong learning, autonomy, relationships, and personal growth. In addition, we offer outreach services to faculty and staff members in order to improve the quality of their interactions with students and to promote a healthy work environment. We offer outreach presentations on a wide variety of topics, many of which are listed below. Campus organizations are encouraged to call CAPS if they would like to learn more about any mental health topic, even if it is not listed below. We will be glad to arrange a presentation that meets the organization’s needs.
To request outreach services, please call CAPS at (864) 656-2451 and ask for Laura Haley Creel, PhD, Coordinator of Consultation and Outreach.
