  • Have you taken courses at another institution or while in service? To learn more about transferring credit to Clemson, please visit Transfer Course Equivalency List to input your course information. If your course does not appear in the list, then it will be evaluated by Admissions upon receipt of your application. More information about transfer credits can be found in the current Undergraduate Announcements. This is the course catalog for new students; review the section Admissions-Transfer Students-Transfer Credit.

  • ACE/Military Training Credit: Clemson University does not formally accept ACE or Military Training Credit, but there are ways to request an evaluation of these courses for potential transfer credit. Gather any course materials from the training or courses and work with your academic advisor and Enrolled Student Services for a  potential course substitution.

  • Cross-Cultural Awareness Credit: Students who were stationed or deployed outside the United States and engaged with local natives of the host country may be able to fulfill the General Education Cross-cultural Awareness course requirement through the IS 1010 course. Consult with your academic advisor and/or the Office of Global Engagement about this option.

For more information, please contact Jennifer Elliott at elliot3@clemson.edu or 864-656-5280.

  • New Student Orientation is a mandatory program to ensure that new students have a successful transition and integration into college life.

  • Students entering the spring semester: Registration is online and opens in November. There is one session scheduled on the Monday before classes start.

  • Students entering the fall semester: Registration is online and opens in April. Please choose the session that best fits your summer schedule. If you are a transfer student, we recommend that you attend the first transfer orientation session.

Any veteran or dependent who will utilize Post 9/11 Chapter 33 benefits and other VA benefits will hear the steps required to verify your status for VA benefits and financial aid.
