Course Description:

Public speaking is the number one thing most adults fear the most. This course will help you understand yourself and your audience and offer techniques to assist in you with preparing your presentation, audio/visual aids, presentation skills, and evaluating results.

Course Instructor: Barry W. Saunders, Ed.D

Dr. Saunders is a recently retired North Carolina state employee with 33 years service. His last position was Manager of Training and Development, North Carolina DOT. He holds a B.A. in Psychology from Campbell University, a M.Ed. in Counseling and Psychology from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and a Doctorate in Organizational Development and Industrial/Organizational Psychology from North Carolina State University.

Dr. Saunders is listed in Who's Who in America, Who's Who in the World, and Who's Who in the South and Southwest, among other publications. He served as Vice President of the National Transportation Training Directors Association from 1997-2000.

He has been a private consultant since 1982 serving a wide variety of clients in the public and private sector. Clients currently being served include: the American Association of Motor Vehicle Administrators, the American Correctional Association, the Institute for Transportation Research and Education at North Carolina State University, and others.

This workshop should be beneficial to anyone wishing to enhance their presentation skills. Whether you are conducting a staff meeting or speaking to a group of 100, you will learn skills to help you communicate with your audience, as well as presentation design techniques and presentation skills
