What is the ePortfolio Support Program (ePSP)?
The ePortfolio Support Program (ePSP) provides peer-to-peer help for students working on electronic portfolios, whether for classes, majors or for General Education. In addition to support, the ePSP provides awards to students to celebrate outstanding work using ePortfolios.
Who provides the support?
ePortfolio Student Fellows are undergraduates who work together to research the best ways for students to use electronic portfolios. The results of their research are provided to ePortfolio users online, as well as through face-to-face meetings with team leaders working in the Class of 1941 Studio for Student Communication, housed in Daniel Hall. Student Fellows also join Creative Inquiry teams led by faculty mentors.
What are the research areas studied by Student Fellows?
There are seven areas of interest:
- Written and Oral Communication
- Critical Thinking and Problem Solving
- Math, Science and Information Technology
- Social Science
- Cross-Cultural Awareness
- Arts and Humanities
- Ethical Judgment
What is the benefit of being a Student Fellow?
Student Fellows earn three credit hours in Creative Inquiry. Research results will generate publishable papers and presentations for conferences, which Fellows may attend. In addition, each Student Fellow will receive a leadership award of $250 per semester. Team leaders receive $500 per semester. Student Fellow leadership positions are awarded to the top applicants to the program.
