Do you want to make your voice heard? Do you think you have what it takes to write about the real issues in our community today? If you are ready to use writing to spark a change, this is the camp for you! We will brainstorm writing topics based on things you are passionate about improving in our community. During this camp, you will work on multiple kinds of nonfiction writing for different audiences: peers, community members, and changemakers. As we research and write together, we will learn how to develop our writing for online publication through multiple media outlets: letters, essays, videos, poems, Op-Eds, etc. In today’s digital world, there are multiple ways to get your message across and your voice can be more powerful than you think. Learn how to make the most impact with your writing and encourage local leaders to take notice of what matters most to you!
