Binki

Jessicas  stories!!! :D

             Binki

Hailey woke to her mom calling her name. It was the first day of school and she wasn’t really excited. She threw her clothes on and then slid down the stair’s rail. She ran to her dog, Binki, to give him his dog food and water. Then she ran to the kitchen for breakfast.

On the elegant wood table, a lone plate sat full of bacon and eggs. Her mouth watered at the sight, and she couldn’t stop herself from swallowing it all whole.

When she was down, she ran to the living room, brushed her long blonde hair, and grabbed her back pack. Then she ran outside to wait for the bus. Binki trotted up to her and sat on her lap.

Something was different about Binki; he was acting strange. His breathing was heavy and ragged, and he was sweating bullets.

Hailey didn’t know what to do. She couldn’t miss the first day of school but she couldn’t leave Binki while he was acting like this. She picked up Binki and for once was glad that he is a small dog. She put him in her backpack and ran to the bus.

Hailey’s best friend, Amy Shwartz, scooted over to give her room.

“I know Binki is in there. Why?”

“He’s acting weird, and don’t talk so loud. People might hear you.”

“How is he acting weird? Let me see.”Hailey opened her back pack and let Amy look inside at Binki.

“Oh my gosh! What is wrong with him?” Amy exclaimed.

“I don’t know. But I couldn’t leave Binki at home. It might get worse… whatever it is.”Hailey zipped up her back pack but left a crack so he could breathe. When they finally got to school, Binki decided to bark like a crazy dog.

“Shut up, Binks!” Hailey hissed to her backpack.

Mrs. Buff, the vice principal, rounded the corner. “What is that racket? IS that a cell phone?”

Nobody knew why Mrs. Buff hated cell phones. A rumor had gone around that she was attacked by haunted phones, but nobody believed it.

Sadness

Dark and dreary rain

Falls down the window pane

Lightning flashes in the distance

Thunder answers without resistance

The sky is dark

The dogs all bark

The wind is wailing

And it starts hailing

Even though it’s just in your mind

This sadness is one of a kind

You feel resistance and you feel pain

You think you might just go insane

You know you have to take control

Maybe you should take a stroll

The sadness will end one day

This is all I’m going to say.
