Julie K. Kindergarten Day’s Ch 1 Daddy no! Screams of children pleading their loved ones to take them back home or back to their old grade and dearly missed teachers, filled the hall. But, the voice who rang above all was the one of Julie K. She had heard plenty of rumors about kindergarten and new teacher Ms. Kraine. A first Grader once told her if you talks without raising your hand she’d dunks your whole head in the toilet, a second grader once told her if you say bad words she washes your mouth out with soap, and a third grader told her if you say bad grammar she’d whacks your hand with a ruler till it’s turned red. And, Julie was a stickler for bad grammar. Well Julie pleaded and begged her dad to let her go to Ms. Kin’s class ,K5’s teacher, but her daddy kept saying no! “Pumpkin” her dad shrunked down until he reached her level. “You did this last year at K5 about Ms. Kin but know you’re begging to go back to her.” “This is different daddy I promise.” I begged. “Come on” Daddy took my hand and lead me into room 303

Julie K. Kindergarten Day’s Ch 2 I shuffled my feet along the floor taking as long as possible. Every three or four steps I’d look back at dad he was smiling a wide goofy grin. How could anyone smile at a time like this. In a few second I got my answer Sitting in the front row happy as Big Bird on Sesame St. was a skimpy Little girl with pigtails, and a letter dress, singing B-I-N-G-O. Before I could even give that crazy girl the cuckoo sign. Ms. Krains whisked me away. “Oh you look darling you must be Little Miss. Murray.” “It’s Julie.” I murmured. “ Uh yes” Ms. Kraines had a blank look. Then daddy stepped in “I’m Mr. Murray ,Julie’s father. “ While they enraged in infection all condensation , I heard that from mommy. I went to give little miss Bingo a piece of my mind. I stepped up to her desk. “Oh jeepers you gave me a scare what's your name.” She chimed. “ My name’s Julie K. and what's your problem , no one can be happy on the first day.” I growled. “Oh silly you, I can I love school. Did you know I’ve never been tardy a day in my lives. Do you want to know my name.” She blabbed. “No, not Re-.” Little Miss. Priss cut me of. “It’s Veronica Grace Lemon isn’t that the best name ever.” Veronica glittered. “No Vicky no it’s not.” I said bitterly. Then in a dark deep rumble Veronica shouted “IT’S VERONICA!” Then we got into a little tuggle and Ms. Kraines came to brake it up. “Girls, girls. This is no way to behave on the first day know back to your seats.” She snapped. Vicky sat back down and I looked around for a seat. There were four seats left I chose the one in the back farthest away from Vicky. |

Green is feeling chipper Green is feeling sick
Green is that sour pucker after a bight into a lime
Green is that color on the first day of spring that’s on every flower
Green is the color of that poor lost dogs collar

Julie K. Kindergarten Day’s: Earth Help Ch 3 “Okay class, welcome to kindergarten-” Ms. Kraines got broke of by two of my best friends , Mackenzie (we call her Mazzy and Claire, walking in. “Sorry we’re late.” They chimed in unison. Those two are like peas and pods sometimes . They took two seats next to me “Hey Julie.” They said. “Hey girls.” I replied. “Thank you girls, now back to what I was saying. I know it’s a little early but, we’re going to be doing a program called Earth Help.” Ms. Kraines said excitedly. “What’s that?” A girl named Casey asked “Earth Help is where you raise money by garage sales, lemonade stands, and more. Then you give it to earth help the person who raises the most money gets the special prize!” She gloated. “What is it, what is it!” We all chanted. “Sorry, it’s a secret until September 15th.” She said. “That is the end of your selling time.” “Awwww.” we said all together. “Recess time” Ms. Kraines led us outside. |

The Rat I was running, fast, trying not to look back. But, I couldn’t there ugly gruesome faces were hypnotic . I tried to look away. I closed my eyes ,hoping, hoping. And suddenly dropped down my flailing arms caught something, cold metal. A ladder I was in a manhole my feet dangled hoping to find the rest of it. But, they didn't , just my arms had started to work the rungs. On my third humph to the next bar. I found of none, I almost lost my balance but regained it just in time. The ladder had been cut! I stared down at the gleaming puddles of water after a long drop down. Then I heard it that chewing sound nibbling of moldy wood. I saw there shadows in the small light climbing through the manhole. A cold, cold shiver ran up my spine. Rats. I hate rats in fact rats are what got me into this whole mess. |

Julie K. Kindergarten Day’s: Earth Help Ch 4 Ms. Kraines sent us home with a precision ship she said we had to get our mommies and daddies to sign it. If they did we could start right away, if they didn’t we couldn’t partillalate. When I got home I ran into the house and yelled “Mommy, mommy I got a prediction ship.” Mommy ran into the foyer and scooped me up “A permission slip what for.” She gobbled in my ear. I touched her soft brown hair “For Earth Help.” I told her. She looked at it for a real long time. Then she said “let’s wait till daddy gets home.” “Aww let’s wait till now.” I pleaded “Run along she taunted. I “ran along” up to my pink room and threw myself onto my big girl bed I got for Christmas . I spoke to Julie Jr. my baby doll she has shaggy brown hair, green eyes, pink overalls, and a darker pink shirt. “Julie Jr. Ms. Kraines wasn’t mean, and we’re starting a program called ‘Earth Help’, but daddy isn’t home yet, so we can’t sign the prediction ships. I huffed, ‘oh I’m sorry, Julie, that stinks PU’. Julie Jr. has lots of encouragement, I read a book until daddy got home. |

Julie K. Kindergarten Day’s: Earth Help Ch 5 “Julie, dinner!” mom called to me, I ran downstairs and saw daddy in the hallway. “Daddy, I got a prediction ship,” I shouted as I jumped into his arms. “So your first day wasn’t such a bummer,” he asked, as mommy handed him the prediction ship. He let me down and I raced to the dinner table, we were having mashed potatoes, salad and chicken. In a couple of second, Henry came in, he’s my older brother. He’s 14, has shaggy brown hair, and is really tall. “Hey, munchkin,” he said, ruffling my hair. “Not a munchkin,” I said, smoothing it back into place. Just than, mom and dad came in, “So can I do it? Please! Please! Please,” I pleaded. “Well sweetie, I don’t know, my dad said unsurely.” “Oh, please, please, please,” I begged. “Are you sure your ready,” mom asked. “Yes! Yes! A billion times yes!!!” I told her. “Well, “daddy shrugged. “Uh,” mommy raised her eyebrows. “Fine,” they said together. “Yes, Yes!” I said jumping up and down, then I stopped, smoothed my skirt and asked Henry to pass the rolls. |
