Text Box: Time
“ Give it time,” they all tell me, but I don’t have time. Haven’t they heard that time is money. Time pushes me like a ball against the bat. The medication doesn’t seem to be working. They say to be prepared if worst comes to worst, but I am not ready. I’d rather spend my time living than be waiting unwillingly for death. The medication takes time to work, but each time I hear the tick tock of the clock on the wall, it reminds me that I am Running out of time. Why must I wait? I wish time would stop, though it seems like it already has, fore all I do is lay in a stone hard bed with my head against the firmness of the pillow , watching other people’s lives fly by while mine is standing still. “Give it time,” they tell me before I sleep. They hear the beep that is longer than time. Out of my misery, I see them trying to bring me back, but I know it is no use. Now I am free of time. I shall not hunger a single crumb of bread nor thirst a drop of water, fore I shall never die again. I see them pull the blinding white sheet over my ice cold body and walk out to the adults who are waiting attentively for the news. I see them weep and whisper to them, “Give it time. You will see me again, but not right now. Give it time. The pain will not hurt so much soon.” And I turn away to enjoy my timeless stay.

Outdoor Wonders
Sometimes when you walk outside, you see a beautiful landscape before you. The lovely sky is a nice clear baby blue with only little wisps of cloud and the sun gives light to the earth.
The grass is lush green and is nicely cut. Dandelions in their flower form are spread around here and there. A couple feet in front of you is a great oak. The leaves green and full, keeping you from the sun’s heat. The acorns are just starting to bud with a few on the ground.
As you walk down the front steps and sit on the last, seeing little black ants carrying pieces if grasshopper to their hill. Rolly– pollies curling up in balls so that nothing can harm them. Over to your left, a small pile of dirt with little worms trying to wiggle their way back into the ground before the mother robin gets to them. Under the oak, a little gray squirrel picks up dropped acorns and shoves them into his mouth and scampers up the tree to his home.
