Text Box: Chapter 1

-A cold, unrealistic chill climbed up Cameron’s spine, Cameron jolted up, ice like beads of sweat trickled down her face. Cameron laid back sown and waiter for the alarm clock  to wake her up from her day dream.
-’Beep, Beep, Beep!’ The annoying buzz awoke Cameron’s mind, she saw up in her bed and leaned over to turn off her blue and sliver alarm clock. Cameron’s mind raced, a really strange dream had awoken Cameron from her light sleep. She got up and shuffled to the bathroom , her green–glow-in-the-dark toe nails hitting every single show, backpack, and shirt that littered the brown shaggy carpet.
-Cameron thought to her self, now fumbling into the dark red and green striped bathroom, ‘I can’t even remember what that dream was about...that odd.’ Cameron found the light switch and the bright colors on the walls erupted with yellow light.
-Cameron heard her dad outside the do way, “Cam, what do you want for breakfast?”
-”Cereal is fine. ”Cameron heard her dad walk down the messy hallway, a bump here and a shuffle there. Cameron turned the water on and waited until she saw hot steam rise  from the bathtub. She yelled over  the water’s loud noise, “Mom! Where is the salt?”
-”Under the sink!” Cameron grabbed the soft green wash clothe that was on the sink counter, opened the cabinet and poured the salt into the hot steaming water. Cameron sat in the tub, soaking, a weird tingling sensation enthused up her long legs turned into a scaly blue, fin.
-The salty water that surrounded Cameron genuinely caressed her fin. The smell of the sea drifted up to Cameron’s nose, Cameron let the water drain and the beautiful shining scales sank back beneath her summer beach tan. Cameron heard her mom call from the kitchen, “Cameron, hurry up before you miss the bus! You don’t want to be late on your first day of high school!”
-Cameron grabbed her clothes which were hanging on the hook limply. Her newly bought fashion designer skirt and tight fitting blue sequin covered shirt shimmered brightly as she pulled it over here wet head. Cameron grabbed the hair dryer from the closet and dried and dried her hair in front of the fog covered mirror. She walked down the muddled hallway and looked at her self in the hall mirror, Cameron’s long brown hair slightly curled under to touch the bottom of her chin, like a picture frame.  Her blue eyes reflected excitement like a small water pool reflects the blue sky.
-Cameron walked into the kitchen, apples, apples everywhere! Cameron grabbed her conk shell necklace and fastened it behind her neck.
-She clutched a banana from the table and pecked a kiss on her mom and dad’s cheek. Her dad sat in a chair at the table, reading the paper, “Goodbye sweet-heart. Have a great day, don’t forget your water bottle.
-Even though Cameron’s mom could stay under water indefinitely,  Cameron’s dad could fly. Cameron thought her parents were pretty cool, like when the Super Seventeen got together {Cameron’s dad and mom are members} Cameron gets to talk with lots of the other member’s kids. Or when ‘Fire Bolt’ brings over great pizza from his last mission over in France.
-Cameron grasped her water bottle and her hand made duck tape bag with some of her school supplies in it. She walked out the door and saw the yellow bus waiting on her. She ran as fast as her long legs could carry her. She finally got to the bus, “sorry.”
-The bus driver sat, his large belly poking out of his tight shirt, “Freshman,” he muttered and he eased off of the curb. Cameron walked to the back of the bus, her four friends sat at the very back.
-”Hey guys! How is the weather looking, Casey?” Cameron asked, Casey smiled, her long curly hair pulled back in a pony tail, “It’s not like your powered up in front of us.” She smiled her sweet smile and Cam rolled her eyes. Katherine sat with Della across the row, Della wore a cat shirt and khakis her tan skin and long brown hair still giving off the rays of the sun. Katherine had on a blue jean skirt and a green shirt which had pink flowers all over. Her dangly ear– rings matching her shirt perfectly, Her freckles and her sunburn matched the pink on her colorful flowers. Ally sat behind Cameron and Casey, her conservative clothes were very different from the other girls. Her shirt had a peace sign on it and her back pack had buttons and sayings written on it in permanent marker, “Save the whales!”
-”Hey, Ally, you okay?”
-Yea, fine,” ally smiled and the sun hit her blond hair, shining in my eyes. “So guys did you all power up yet?”
-Kat said smiling, “So you think that, we would come if we hadn’t?”
-Cam shrugged, “I guess not.”
-The bus driver then said, “Everyone, sit down, this is going to be a bumpy ride!”
