Research, develop, and promote through public service weed management programs that are effective, economical, and sustainable for South Carolina agricultural professionals.

To accomplish these goals research focused on utilizing the latest cultural, chemical, and technological developments will be conducted. Results from both basic and applied research will determine the most effective weed management plans. Special emphasis will be placed on finding the most economical programs which allow for long term sustainability of agriculture in South Carolina.

Timely extension of research results through electronic and printed media as well as timely in-service training and updates are critical to the public service mission.
