Registration Information for 2008

Registration Opening Date
Camp registration is open for the 2008 summer season.

Early Bird Discount
A $25 Early Bird Discount is available until Saturday, March 15, 2008. Please do not delay in registering as every week filled last year.

Returning Camper?
If your child was a camper at any of our camps in 2007 (Sewee, Voyager, Wildlife or 4-H Camp), he or she will automatically receive the returning camper discount of $35.

Fees for Camp
Deposit of $100 is applied to total camp fees. Fees include lodging, meals, limited medical insurance, program activities, instruction and supervision. We do take monthly payments and the final payment must be paid three (3) weeks before your week of camp starts.

Age
Campers must be 8 by the time they come to camp.

Deadline
Registration for camp closes two (2) weeks prior to each session or when the camp capacity is reached. A late fee of $25 will be added for all campers that register after this deadline.

Required Paperwork
Upon receipt of the registration, the Youth Learning Institute will send the applicant:

  • a map
  • information materials
  • Camper Information Form (which includes Permission Form, Health Form, Medical Statement, Discipline Policy)
  • a list of things to bring to camp

The Camper Information Form must be returned to the Institute three (3) weeks prior to the start date of the camp session your child(ren) is attending. It must be on file for your child(ren) to participate in camp. Your child(ren) will not be able to attend camp without this form.

Health Form
A Health Form is required on each camper attending camp. This form is part of the Camper Information Form. It includes a statement by a health examiner that the camper is physically able to participate in camp. Your wellness check or any health examination from your County Health Department done within the last 24 months can be used to meet this requirement. If you are a returning camper we can pull and use last years form as long as it has been with in 24 month of when your child will go to camp.

Refunds
Refunds will be issued (except the non-refundable $100 deposit) when requested in writing at least two (2) weeks prior to the start of the camp session. No refunds will be issued after that time or after camp starts.
