Whenever we think of Crew, we get excited about teams coming from across the United States to train at our facilities. The combination of warm southern weather, a rustic yet beautiful setting, and a complete range of modern amenities makes the R.M. Cooper Leadership Center unmatched in this region.

We provide an excellent opportunity for teams to train intensively because there are no distractions. And since lodging, meals and recreation are only yards away from the docks where you launch, the time normally spent traveling to your launch site can be spent where it benefits your team most: on the water. We are located on a 110-acre peninsula on Lake Marion near Summerton, SC, only 15 miles from Interstate 95 (see detailed map). When you arrive, you'll find lodging and dining facilities on the shores of Wyboo Creek. In addition, we offer large recreational areas for basketball, beach volleyball, softball and football -- as well as fields for off-water workouts. There's also a large gymnasium with ample floor space and classrooms for teams to use during their stay. Finally, our climbing tower and three ropes courses set at the edge of the woods are a vital part of our adventure programming. A half-mile wide, Wyboo Creek offers more than three miles of water for rowing. There are no obstructions and very little traffic during February, March and April. March temperatures range from the mid 50s to upper 70s. You won't find a more suitable place for rowing than this area, and it's yours to enjoy along with food, lodging, and recreation for as little as $33 per person per day!
