Department of Construction Science and Management, Clemson University
Clemson University's Bachelor of Science in Construction Science and Management (CSM) was established in 1962 and is accredited by the American Council for Construction Education. With a student/teacher ratio of about 25 to 1, the department is staffed by a professional faculty dedicated and committed to providing the most effective education to students and to researching and disseminating construction knowledge within their areas of expertise. Youth Learning Institute, Clemson University
Clemson’s Youth Learning Institute is a vital component of Clemson University’s youth outreach effort, and helps fulfill Clemson’s mission of public service by using the research and knowledge of University faculty and staff to develop programs that specifically reach youth. Over 21,000 young people participate annually in over 44 youth leadership, training and development programs held at their leadership centers. These range from two-week resident programs to one-day school trainings, and include numerous special interest sessions, weekend leadership conferences, and academic programs. Pickens County Lifelong Learning/Adult Education
The Mission of Pickens Lifelong Learning/Adult Education is to create a caring and safe environment that emphasizes high achievement and career preparation for all students by providing quality educational opportunities to meet the needs of our adult community. Pickens Lifelong Learning/Adult Education will be providing GED and continuing education support for the YouthBuild Upstate program. http://www.pickens.k12.sc.us/AdultEdu/ S.C. Regional Housing Authority The mission of the SC Regional Housing Authority is to provide all the necessary tools for a family to obtain and maintain affordable housing and home ownership in a safe, sanitary, and decent manner. In carrying out this mission, SCRHA will create partnerships with various community resources to ensure a complete needs fulfillment for families with the purpose of assisting them in the opportunity of becoming self-sufficient. SCRHA will be providing work sites and assistance with construction supervision for the YouthBuild Upstate program.
