Graduate Global Engagement Programs

Spring Break in Europe (MBA/MPAcc)

During Spring Break, students have the opportunity to travel to Europe with visits in Vienna, Prague and Berlin. The program is open to 15 graduate students in the MBA or MPAcc programs.

Students enrolled in the program will take course ACCT 8730 (International Taxation) or MBA 8990 (Global Business Transactions) during the Spring 2017 semester. Classes will be held at Greenville ONE.

The group will begin in Vienna and then travel to Prague and Berlin during the University’s spring break. Planned educational visits include international law firms and the United Nations. Students will also have free time for site-seeing in all three cities.

Jane Layton from the Clemson MBA Program and Kathyrn Kisska-Schulze from the Clemson School of Accountancy will lead the trip.

Summer in Oxford Programme

Students enrolled in this program will have the opportunity to take ACCT 8670 (International Accounting) and/or LAW 8500 (Law for Professional Accountants). The course will start in Greenville, where students will attend class and get an overview of the international environment.

During the second portion of the course students will travel to Oxford where students will attend class and have guest lectures presented by the members of the International Accounting Standards Board (IASB) and Oxford University faculty members.

Additionally, students will travel to London to meet with international accounting firms and will observe deliberations by the IASB. The focus of the guest speakers and visits will be on how accountants operate in an international environment.
