Susie Spainhour is the Project Coordinator for the South Carolina Educational Interpreting Center. Ms. Spainhour holds a Masters of Education Divergent Learners degree from Columbia College and national certification as an ASL-English Interpreter. Susie has worked as an Educational Interpreter for the past fifteen years and is the current President for South Carolina Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf. Ms. Spainhour has been afforded several collegiate, state, and regional awards during her professional career including the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf Region II President’s Choice Award, the South Carolina Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf Interpreter of the Year Award, and Spartanburg’s Woman of the Year Award.
