The MUSIC CONCENTRATION combines emphasis areas of instrumental, vocal, or keyboard performance with studies in arts administration, conducting, composing/arranging, music business, music history, music technology, and music theory.

Intended to prepare students for a broad spectrum of music and music-related careers or further study in graduate school, the degree can also be tailored to a specific career interest by choosing an appropriate minor from over 70 programs, including Business Administration, Communication, Computer Science, Education, Entrepreneurship, Film Studies, Financial Management, Legal Studies, Management, Theatre, and Writing.

Students desiring a more diverse undergraduate experience and an even broader range of career options upon graduation can pursue a double major, combining the Bachelor of Arts degree in Production Studies in Performing Arts/Music with a Bachelor of Arts degree in another discipline.

Through our broad curriculum, first-rate ensembles, and outstanding faculty, we educate and inspire students for a variety of careers in the performing arts—allowing you to design a course of study specific to your career aspirations for the 21st century.
