Jennie Wakefield’s work crosses the disciplines of language and dance using embodiment techniques as a resource. She is interested in where ideas come from and in how direct, mindful experience can activate new approaches to creativity and invention, cognition, expression, and affirmation of the human spirit –individually and collectively. By facilitating process using intermodal approaches that include writing, drawing, and kinesthetic experience, Ms. Wakefieldexploresways to increase communication and relationship between perceived oppositions in life and art, mind and body, and between people.
